Disco Turkeys Defeat Scorpions On Dominant Performance From Terry Mulholland

Terry Mulholland threw a shutout to lead Disco Turkeys past Scorpions 3-0 on Saturday at 5100 Long Island Expy, Dix Hills, NY 11746.
Both teams were strong on the mound. Disco Turkeys pitchers struck out six, while Scorpions sat down four.
Disco Turkeys opened the scoring in the bottom of the first thanks to two home runs. Disco Turkeys first got on the board when Alex Rodriguez hit a solo home run to center field.
Disco Turkeys added one run in the third after Mike Piazza singled to center field.
Al Leiter began the game for Scorpions. The hurler surrendered nine hits and three runs over eight innings, striking out four and walking three.
Disco Turkeys piled up nine hits in the game. Rodriguez and Mickey Morandini each collected two hits for Disco Turkeys. Rodriguez, Scott Rolen, and Piazza each drove in one run for Disco Turkeys. Disco Turkeys turned two double plays in the game. Disco Turkeys were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Mark Grace had the most chances in the field with 11.
Jeff Cirillo and Nomar Garciaparra each collected two hits for Scorpions. Scorpions turned two double plays in the game.
