Disco Turkeys Strutting Their Stuff in November Win 4th in a Row.

Disco Turkeys defeated Scorpions 7-1 on Thursday at 5100 Long Island Expy, Dix Hills, NY 11746 thanks in part to six runs in the first inning. Brian McRae hit a solo home run to center field, Scott Rolen singled, scoring one run, Rusty Greer singled, scoring one run, and Chuck Knoblauch tripled, scoring three runs.


Disco Turkeys scored one run in the bottom of the seventh on a solo home run to center field by Mike Piazza.


Terry Mulholland stepped on the hill first for Disco Turkeys. The lefty surrendered six hits and one run over nine innings, striking out three and walking three. Randy Johnson stepped on the mound first for Scorpions. The lefty gave up 10 hits and seven runs over eight innings, striking out 17 and walking two.


Disco Turkeys piled up 10 hits in the game. Knoblauch led Disco Turkeys with three runs batted in from the number nine spot in the lineup. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. McRae and Piazza each collected two hits for Disco Turkeys. Disco Turkeys turned two double plays in the game.


Vladimir Guerrero and Greg Vaughn each collected two hits for Scorpions. Glenallen Hill led Scorpions with one run batted in. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-4 on the day. Johnson threw an immaculate inning in the second, striking out the side on nine pitches. Scorpions didn't commit a single error in the field. Mike Redmond had the most chances in the field with 17.
