Disco Turkeys were triumphant over M and H Lumber Company 5-2 on Tuesday at 5100 Long Island Expy, Dix Hills, NY 11746.
Disco Turkeys got on the board in the bottom of the fourth inning after Alex Rodriguez grounded out, and Scott Rolen doubled to center field, each scoring one run.
Bernie Williams hit a solo home run to center field in the top of the eighth for the M and H Lumber Company.
M and H Lumber Company scored one run in the top of the ninth on a solo home run to center field by Vinny Castilla.
Terry Mulholland led things off on the mound for Disco Turkeys. The starting pitcher allowed three hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out three and walking three. Orlando Hernandez stepped on the mound first for M and H Lumber Company. The pitcher allowed five hits and four runs over seven innings, striking out six and walking four. Robb Nen appeared in relief for Disco Turkeys.
Rolen and Rusty Greer were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Disco Turkeys. Johnny Damon, Brian McRae, Rodriguez, Rolen, and Greer each drove in one run for Disco Turkeys. Disco Turkeys turned one double play in the game. Disco Turkeys were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Mike Piazza had the most chances in the field with four.
Williams, Enrique Wilson, Edgar Martinez, Rickey Henderson, and Castilla each collected one hit for M and H Lumber Company. Williams and Castilla each drove in one run for M and H Lumber Company. Henderson stole two bases. M and H Lumber Company turned one double play in the game. M and H Lumber Company didn't commit a single error in the field. Ivan Rodriguez had the most chances in the field with six.
