Kelly Leak Allstars topped Yesterday’s Knights 4-1 on Tuesday at 5100 Long Island Expy, Dix Hills, NY 11746.
Yesterday’s Knights got on the board in the first inning after Jason Giambi hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.
Mark McGwire hit a sacrifice fly, which helped Kelly Leak Allstars tie the game at one in the bottom of the first.
Kelly Leak Allstars took the lead in the bottom of the fourth. Sal Fasano doubled, scoring one run, to give Kelly Leak Allstars the lead, 2-1.
Darren Dreifort started the game for Kelly Leak Allstars. The hurler gave up six hits and one run over six innings, striking out four and walking three. Kenny Rogers started on the mound for Yesterday’s Knights. The left-handed pitcher gave up eight hits and three runs (two earned) over six and one-third innings, striking out none and walking one. Doug Brocail, Vic Darensbourg, and Matt Mantei each came on in relief for Kelly Leak Allstars and shutdown Yesterday’s Knights.

McGwire had the most chances in the field with 10.
Giambi, Jason Kendall, and John Olerud each collected two hits for Yesterday’s Knights. Giambi led Yesterday’s Knights with one run batted in. The left-handed hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Yesterday’s Knights turned two double plays in the game.
