Kelly Leak Allstars Cling To Victory As Disco Turkeys Nearly Erase 5-Run Deficit

Kelly Leak Allstars built a 5-run lead in the sixth inning and then held off Disco Turkeys's charge for a 7-5 victory on Tuesday. Disco Turkeys closed the gap by scoring on a sacrifice fly, a single, a single, a single, and a hit by pitch.
Kelly Leak Allstars got on the board in the fifth inning after Mike Stanley homered to center field, scoring two runs.
Kelly Leak Allstars scored three runs in the top of the sixth on a home run to center field by Manny Ramirez.
Scott Brosius homered to right field, scoring two runs in the top of the eighth for the Kelly Leak Allstars.
Greg Maddux earned the win for Kelly Leak Allstars. The starting pitcher allowed seven hits and five runs (two earned) over eight and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking one. Terry Mulholland took the loss for Disco Turkeys. The starting pitcher went seven innings, allowing five runs on three hits, striking out six and walking three. Doug Brocail collected the save.
Ramirez drove the middle of the lineup, leading Kelly Leak Allstars with three runs batted in. The right fielder went 1-for-4 on the day. Ramirez, Brosius, Eric Davis, Omar Vizquel, and Stanley each collected one hit for Kelly Leak Allstars. Vizquel stole two bases. Kelly Leak Allstars turned one double play in the game.
Scott Rolen drove the middle of the lineup, leading Disco Turkeys with two runs batted in. The 3-hole hitter went 1-for-4 on the day. Disco Turkeys's Darin Ersrad, the number eight hitter, led Disco Turkeys with two hits in four at bats. Disco Turkeys didn't commit a single error in the field. Eddie Perez had the most chances in the field with 10.
