Lumber Company Lives up to Name in 14-3 Win Over Scorpions

Bernie Williams showed a strong eye at the plate on Tuesday, as Williams walked three times while leading M and H Lumber Company to a 14-3 victory over Scorpions.
Scorpions were the first to get on the board in the first when Dave Berg singled, scoring one run.
M and H Lumber Company took the lead in the bottom of the fifth inning after Roberto Alomar homered to center field, and Williams homered to center field, each scoring two runs.
M and H Lumber Company added five more runs in the bottom of the seventh inning on three hits. Benito Santiago doubled, scoring one run, Vinny Castilla singled, scoring one run, and Vlad Guerrero homered to right field, scoring three runs.
M and H Lumber Company added five more runs in the bottom of the eighth inning on three hits. Juan Encarnacion tripled, scoring one run, Santiago singled, scoring one run, and Rafael Palmeiro homered to left field, scoring three runs.
Roger Clemens opened the game for M and H Lumber Company. The hurler surrendered eight hits and three runs over nine innings, striking out nine and walking six. Al Leiter stepped on the hill first for Scorpions. The southpaw allowed 14 hits and 14 runs over eight innings, striking out three and walking six.
M and H Lumber Company collected 14 hits in the game. Palmeiro and Guerrero were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in three runs for M and H Lumber Company. Santiago went 4-for-5 at the plate to lead M and H Lumber Company in hits. Ivan Rodriguez collected two hits for M and H Lumber Company in five at bats. Williams paced M and H Lumber Company with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, collecting six walks for the game. Clemens threw an immaculate inning in the seventh, striking out the side on nine pitches. Rickey Henderson stole two bases. M and H Lumber Company turned three double plays in the game.
Doug Glanville led Scorpions with two runs batted in from the number nine spot in the lineup. The outfielder went 2-for-4 on the day. Berg and Glanville each collected two hits for Scorpions. Scorpions had patience at the plate, piling up six walks for the game. Scorpions turned three double plays in the game.
