M and H Lumber Company’s Rafael Palmeiro Powers Through Massapequa Mafia

Rafael Palmeiro hit two home runs and drove in five as M and H Lumber Company defeated Massapequa Mafia 16-5 on Tuesday at 5100 Long Island Expy, Dix Hills, NY 11746. Palmeiro homered in the second and seventh innings.
A solo home run to center field by Ray Lankford put Massapequa Mafia on the board in the bottom of the first.
M and H Lumber Company took the lead, 4-1, in the top of the second thanks to home runs by Palmeiro, Vlad Guerrero, and Juan Encarnacion.
Travis Fryman homered to center field, which helped Massapequa Mafia tie the game at four in the bottom of the fourth.
M and H Lumber Company made the score 8-4 in the top of the fifth after an error scored one run, Guerrero grounded out, scoring one run, and Encarnacion doubled, scoring two runs.
Massapequa Mafia scored one run in the bottom of the fifth on a solo home run to center field by Jeff Kent.
Palmeiro hit a solo home run to center field in the top of the seventh for the M and H Lumber Company.
M and H Lumber Company scored five runs on four hits in the top of the eighth inning. Richie Sexson was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Palmeiro doubled, scoring two runs, and Guerrero singled, scoring two runs.
Roger Clemens started on the hill for M and H Lumber Company. The righty surrendered eight hits and five runs over nine innings, striking out 13 and walking two. Pedro Martinez started the game for Massapequa Mafia. The starting pitcher allowed 13 hits and 14 runs (13 earned) over seven and one-third innings, striking out 10 and walking five.
M and H Lumber Company piled up 19 hits in the game. Encarnacion, Sexson, and Vinny Castilla each collected multiple hits for M and H Lumber Company. Clemens threw an immaculate inning in the third, striking out the side on nine pitches. M and H Lumber Company turned two double plays in the game. M and H Lumber Company were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Ivan Rodriguez made the most plays with 13.
Fryman led Massapequa Mafia with three runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. The infielder went 1-for-4 on the day. Dante Bichette went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Massapequa Mafia in hits.
