M and H Lumber Company won big over Massapequa Mafia 8-1 on Tuesday at 5100 Long Island Expy, Dix Hills, NY 11746.


M and H Lumber Company opened the scoring in the first after Vinny Castilla homered to left field, scoring two runs.


A single by Greg Vaughn extended the M and H Lumber Company lead to 3-0 in the bottom of the third inning.


Ivan Rodriguez homered to left field, scoring two runs in the bottom of the sixth for the M and H Lumber Company.


Jamie Moyer led things off on the mound for M and H Lumber Company. The lefty allowed two hits and one run (zero earned) over eight innings, striking out six and walking one. Andy Pettitte stepped on the bump first for Massapequa Mafia. The hurler gave up eight hits and six runs (five earned) over four and one-third innings, striking out two and walking one. Steve Reed tossed one inning of shutout ball for M and H Lumber Company in relief. The righty gave up one hit, striking out none and walking none.


M and H Lumber Company accumulated 12 hits in the game. Castilla provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led M and H Lumber Company with three runs batted in. The number three hitter went 2-for-4 on the day. Castilla, Rodriguez, Bernie Williams, and Vaughn each collected two hits for M and H Lumber Company. M and H Lumber Company turned one double play in the game.


Ray Lankford, Travis Fryman, and Jeff Kent each collected one hit for Massapequa Mafia. Massapequa Mafia turned one double play in the game.
