M and H Lumber Company took Tuesday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 7-6 walk-off victory over Kelly Leak Allstars at 5100 Long Island Expy, Dix Hills, NY 11746. The game was tied at six in the bottom of the eleventh when Jose Offerman grounded out, scoring one run.
M and H Lumber Company came back to win despite trailing 6-2 in the sixth.
Kelly Leak Allstars got on the board in the first inning after Eric Davis singled, scoring one run.
A home run to center field by Todd Helton gave M and H Lumber Company the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the third.
A grand slam to center field by Mark McGwire gave Kelly Leak Allstars the lead, 5-2, in the top of the fourth.
M and H Lumber Company scored one run in the bottom of the seventh on a solo home run to center field by Nomar Garciaparra.
Bernie Williams singled to right field, which helped M and H Lumber Company tie the game at six in the bottom of the ninth.
Trevor Hoffman earned the win for M and H Lumber Company. The right-handed pitcher allowed two hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out three and walking one. Doug Brocail took the loss for Kelly Leak Allstars. The reliever went two and two-thirds innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits, striking out one and walking one. Orlando Hernandez began the game for M and H Lumber Company. The pitcher allowed eight hits and six runs over seven innings, striking out eight and walking nine. Kelvim Escobar opened the game for Kelly Leak Allstars. The starter gave up seven hits and five runs (three earned) over six innings, striking out five and walking none.
