Massapequa Mafia’s Javy Lopez Powers Through Kelly Leak Allstars

Javy Lopez hit two home runs and drove in three as Massapequa Mafia defeated Kelly Leak Allstars 9-3 on Tuesday at 5100 Long Island Expy, Dix Hills, NY 11746. Lopez homered in the fourth and second innings.

Massapequa Mafia were the first to get on the board in the first when Sammy Sosa homered to center field, scoring three runs.

Massapequa Mafia scored one run in the bottom of the second on a solo home run to center field by Lopez.

Lopez homered to center field, scoring two runs in the bottom of the fourth for the Massapequa Mafia.

Travis Fryman homered to center field, scoring three runs in the bottom of the fifth for the Massapequa Mafia.

Tom Glavine started on the hill for Massapequa Mafia. The starting pitcher surrendered seven hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out seven and walking none. Kelvim Escobar stepped on the bump first for Kelly Leak Allstars. The starting pitcher surrendered 10 hits and nine runs over eight innings, striking out nine and walking three. Mike Jackson tossed one and one-third innings of no-run ball for Massapequa Mafia in relief. The reliever surrendered two hits, striking out two and walking none.
