Massapequa Mafia Walk It Off Against Kelly Leak Allstars

It came down to the wire on Tuesday at 5100 Long Island Expy, Dix Hills, NY 11746, as Massapequa Mafia grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 4-3, over Kelly Leak Allstars. The game was tied at three in the bottom of the twelfth when Sammy Sosa doubled, scoring one run.
Pedro Martinez struck out 10 batters on the day. The hurler also allowed four hits and three runs over seven innings while walking two.
A single by Javy Lopez put Massapequa Mafia on the board in the bottom of the second.
Lopez hit a solo home run to right field in the bottom of the fifth for the Massapequa Mafia.
Kelly Leak Allstars tied the game in the top of the seventh thanks to a double by Tom Goodwin, and a home run to center field by Manny Ramirez.
Greg Maddux led things off on the mound for Kelly Leak Allstars. The pitcher surrendered 11 hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out six and walking none. Kerry Litenberg, Gabe White, Mike Jackson, and Jeff Shaw each threw shutout innings for Massapequa Mafia in relief.
Massapequa Mafia amassed 18 hits in the game. Lopez, the number seven hitter for Massapequa Mafia, led the way with two runs batted in. The catcher went 2-for-5 on the day. Kelly Leak Allstars amassed nine hits in the game. Ramirez provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Kelly Leak Allstars with two runs batted in. The outfielder went 1-for-5 on the day. Eric Davis went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Kelly Leak Allstars in hits. Goodwin collected two hits for Kelly Leak Allstars in five at bats. Kelly Leak Allstars turned two double plays in the game. Kelly Leak Allstars were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Jim Leyritz made the most plays with six.
