Runs Hard To Come By In Disco Turkeys Win Versus Suffolk Suns

Both teams were strong on the bump on Tuesday, but Disco Turkeys defeated Suffolk Suns 2-1. Terry Mulholland started the game for Disco Turkeys and recorded 21 outs.
A solo home run to right field by Marvin Benard put Disco Turkeys on the board in the top of the second.
Disco Turkeys scored one run in the top of the third on a solo home run to right field by Chad Curtis.
Suffolk Suns scored one run in the bottom of the third on a solo home run to left field by Eric Young.
Mulholland earned the win for Disco Turkeys. The left-handed pitcher gave up six hits and one run over seven innings, striking out two and walking none. Sterling Hitchcock took the loss for Suffolk Suns. The hurler went six innings, giving up two runs on four hits, striking out one and walking three. Robb Nen collected the save.
Mark Grace, Curtis, Mickey Morandini, Benard, and Derek Jeter each collected one hit for Disco Turkeys. Curtis and Benard each drove in one run for Disco Turkeys. Disco Turkeys turned one double play in the game.
Young went 1-for-4 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Gary DiSarcina, Chipper Jones, Sandy Alomar, Young, Gary Gaetti, and Eric Karros each collected one hit for Suffolk Suns. Suffolk Suns turned two double plays in the game. Suffolk Suns were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Alomar had the most chances in the field with seven.
