Streak Hits 10 as Eric Davis Drives 4 Runners Home In Kelly Leak Allstars Victory Over Suffolk Suns




Eric Davis drove in four runs on three hits to lead Kelly Leak Allstars past Suffolk Suns 9-6 on Tuesday at 5100 Long Island Expy, Dix Hills, NY 11746. Davis singled in the first inning, scoring two runs, and singled in the second inning, scoring two.


Kelly Leak Allstars jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Scott Brosius hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, Davis singled, scoring two runs, and Sal Fasano singled, scoring one run.


A single by Davis extended the Kelly Leak Allstars lead to 6-0 in the bottom of the second inning.


Andres Gallaraga hit a solo home run to center field in the top of the seventh for the Suffolk Suns.


Gary Gaetti hit a solo home run to right field in the top of the ninth for the Suffolk Suns.


Darren Dreifort earned the win for Kelly Leak Allstars. The starter surrendered five hits and four runs over six innings, striking out four and walking seven. Andy Ashby took the loss for Suffolk Suns. The hurler went seven innings, giving up nine runs on 13 hits, striking out four and walking four. Mariano Rivera threw one and one-third innings of no-run ball for Kelly Leak Allstars in relief. The hurler surrendered two hits, striking out one and walking none.


Kelly Leak Allstars collected 13 hits in the game. Craig Biggio, Manny Ramirez, and Fasano each collected multiple hits for Kelly Leak Allstars. Kelly Leak Allstars turned one double play in the game.
